We all have dreams. But sometimes, in chasing them, we miss the simple truth: what we’re seeking might already be here.
I’m reminded of a story…
A wealthy businessman was vacationing in a small coastal village when he noticed a fisherman relaxing in a hammock, guitar in hand, smiling at the sun.

“Why aren’t you out catching more fish?” the businessman asked.
“I caught enough for today,” the fisherman replied. “Now I’m going to play music, laugh with my family, and watch the day drift by.”
The businessman leaned in. “But if you worked harder, you could buy a bigger boat, catch more fish, open a factory, and become rich! Then you could retire and finally do whatever you want.”
The fisherman just smiled. “But… I’m already doing whatever I want.”
Here’s the thing: being is often lost in becoming.
We spend so much of our lives trying to be more successful, more prepared, more “ready” — that we forget to simply be.
So today, I invite you to pause.
Take a breath. Look around.
Ask yourself:
What joy is already here that I don’t have to chase?
And when you find it… savor it a little longer.
If you’d like some support in making space for that kind of joy — clearing what’s in the way and opening to what’s possible — I’d be honored to guide you. Whether it’s through a private ritual, a reading, a group gathering, or a visioning session, we can create the room for you to fully receive what’s already waiting.
With love,
Barbara
